The Sligo Dark Tales tour takes in the birthplace of Bram Stoker’s mother and you’ll find out about the cholera epidemic which wiped out hundreds of people, but also inspired Stoker’s book Dracula. On certain dates Sligo Walking Tours runs Dracula Walking Tours dedicated to Bram Stoker, there is Sligo Stoker Society and they have been working hard to raise awareness of the connection of Stoker to the town. The Stoker Walking Tour explores various locations connected to the author and tells participants of the tour more about the connection.

Sligo Walking Tours have also previously hosted Secret Scripture Tours. These are based on the best-selling book by Sebastian Barry, which was set in Sligo town and beyond. Mel will bring her guests to a variety of locations that are mentioned in the book.
