The steamy costume drama, Bridgerton based on the romantic novels of Julia Quinn became Netflix’s most watched series when it was released in December 2020. Many of the colourful and dramatic scenes were filmed around Greenwich – in particular The Queen’s House which is situated near the river Thames, built in 1616, and is the oldest building in Greenwich Park. The Ranger’s House, built in 1723 and on the edge of Greenwich Park is used is used as the Bridgerton family’s wisteria-clad home and both buildings can be visited when in the Royal Borough.
